St Theresa of Lisieux (The Child Jesus) used to be an outstation under Our Heavenly Father Parish, run by the Jesuits of Chelstone, and in 2004, it was elevated to parish status and run by the SMA Fathers. The Parish has 14 Small Christian Communities (SCCs). There are 28 Lay Groups, including Councils and committees—the census in 2018 estimated 1,700 parishioners.
The Parish has started an elementary kindergarten and elementary school and a department for special needs children as a means of evangelization.
The Parish sits on 400 Square Meters of Land of the Archdiocese of Lusaka on Title Deeds. The Archdiocese has given the Society of African Missions to build the Church. The project has five stages.
